We're concluding the year with a piece of good news delivered by our Product & Engineering Manager, James Carmody. James, and our team mates responsible for building our product, have been working extra hard this year to bring as much value as possible to our customers. Here's what we're finishing the year with.
By James CarmodyI’m excited to share what we’ve been up to recently as we wrap up the year. Since the first product article we published, we’ve been working hard to improve the MaiaGrazing platform, with a mix of both visible and under-the-hood changes being rolled out this quarter. Here’s a teaser of some of the new features shipped – detailed Release Notes are available. Feedback is important to us, so if you have any, we would love to hear from you: product@maiatechnology.com.au.
New interfaces for mob management
In our most recent release, we’ve given the Mobs List a new look in MaiaGrazing on the web. Your mobs are now grouped by grazing status, and the interface is cleaner and more responsive. If you’re looking for the Mob actions, they’ve moved into the ‘…’ menu.
Bulk pasture observations
To support quickly entering multiple pasture observations, we’ve added a bulk entry screen to the Pasture Inventory page. This means that keeping a feed budget up to date should be more efficient. Mark Dixon, a member of our Grazing Success team, created a great guide on this on its release in October.
Behind the scenes
I mentioned in my first blog entry that we’re deep in the weeds of some big technical changes under the hood of MaiaGrazing. We’re confident that once realized, these will allow us to ship more improved features more often. This will then enable us to get back to the business of building great tools that will help you achieve grazing success in a way that is meaningful to you.
New MaiaGrazing mobile app
Here's a little sneak peek of our mobile app! Our Grazing Success team, comprising ranchers working in their own grazing businesses, are putting the new app through its paces as new functionality is built out. We’ll have more to say on the timing of the beta and the public release in January 2022. If you’re interested in being involved, let us know!
And last but not least, on behalf of all of us here at MaiaGrazing, we wish you happy holidays and a joyous festive season.
