Making Great Grazing Decisions

By David McLean, Chairman at RCS Australia Recently, I joined MaiaGrazing’s Bart Davidson and Mystery Park’s Ainsley McArthur on a webinar - The Right Call: Critical Decision Making for Profitable Grazing. During the session, I challenged the “old way of thinking” by underlining how good decision-making is key to good management. A summary of what we covered includes:

  • How to find confidence in decision-making
  • What impact our decisions have on the land, livestock, business and people
  • The key elements of decision-making: meaningful information and goals/direction
  • The importance of converting data into information that can drive profit, such as using MaiaGrazing for grazing plans and forecasting
  • The 6 principles of Regenerative Grazing

There was also a range of questions asked during the session. I’ll update this blog post with responses to them soon.

Please enjoy the webinar replay:

Lastly, over the next few weeks we’ll share more about our online learning courses on the RCS Global Learning Hub and extend a special RCS + MaiaGrazing offer that supports your journey towards being a better critical decision maker. Meanwhile, you can learn more about the key principles of grazing by enrolling in my free class here, or speak to a MaiaGrazing expert to book a demonstration.
